Great Ideas On A Saturday!

It has been awhile since I have done a, "Great Ideas," post, so today I am going to show you some of the ideas that I thought were great ideas…..

For Traveling……

When traveling, pack your earrings in a pill case to keep them from getting lost.
Pack your earrings and rings in a pill holder!

Travel tip! Add a cotton ball or cotton pad to your makeup to keep them from breaking when traveling.
Place a cotton swab, or ball over your powder blushes, and shadows to prevent breakage!

To avoid tangles when you travel, slip your necklace through a drinking straw.
Longer necklaces, and chains are so in style right now, but a real bear to travel with due to tangling. Now they will be tangle free by placing the chain in a straw, who knew?!

While decorating at home……..
Fabulous way to keep cushions on chairs without all those ugly strings from the ties hanging out or ripping off the cushion. Brilliant
Add a wood toggle button with a strip of fabric and you will keep the cushion in place. So much more attractive than the ties.

Use a bungee cord to instantly hang a second sheer curtain panel behind existing curtains instead of hanging a second pole.

When adding a pair of sheers behind draperies, try using a bungee cord, easy to add and easy to take away!

clever furniture designed to hide wall vent
If you hate your wall vent, hide it with this easy to build piece of furniture.  This would be great for stereo speakers as well.

Sentimental Ideas……

Cool idea! Once a month for their lives, put $10 in a photo album for your kids....around $2000 buy the time they graduate/turn 18

When your child or grandchild is born place a twenty dollar bill in a photo album every month. Give this to them when they graduate or turn 18, and they will have $2900!

Sometimes, when it’s hard to let go, it helps to have something to hold onto. I LOVE this idea! So sweet.
If a loved one passes and your younger child is having a hard time, find a picture of them together and make a teddy wear out of the piece of clothing of your loved one. I thought this was such a sweet thing to do.

Around the house……..

Paper towel holder for garbage bags
Easy to find and easy to remove!

Chores & backpacks. Also cute to pin report cards and other achievements, artwork etc.
Now that school has started it is time for a family command center for the kiddos, this is a great idea!

Even though school has started it is still summer and we are still using the barbecue pit outside. I love this idea…..
"So smart!!! The cardboard carton is easy to light with a match and then the charcoal starts too!! Perfect for bringing camping or starting a fire pit for smores! Storage, transporting and ease of starting...Perfect!!"

Place the briquettes in a cardboard egg holder to light! Recycling at its best!

I will leave you one more idea just in case you are still holding onto summer like I am……
Summertime Stove-Top Potpourri - This sounds soooo heavenly! Can't wait to have my house smell like a summer tropical paradise!!

Summertime potpourri!
Happy Saturday!!

Hi Kathy Sue! Oh, these are some wonderful ideas. Love the jewelry in the pill box. The $20 a month for a grandchild is a marvelous idea too.
You're just the smartest one! Have a great weekend.

Wish I had seen the first idea before I went on vacation. I've lost 2 pairs of my favorite earrings. Also want to do the $20 photo album for my new grandbaby! Great idea!
