THERE WILL BE A BRIEF INTERMISSION ON MY CHRISTMAS POST DUE TO THANKSGIVING.
Since Thanksgiving is only 16 days away I thought I better get back in gear on my plans for my table and menu.
Today I am going to share my 2011 Table.
This table started with the table cloth found the year before on clearance.
The colors in the plaid dictated the color scheme of Brown and Greens.
I pulled together some elements for inspiration that could possibly work on my table …..
Next came the brainstorming of how to pull the colors and elements together.
I knew I would use all natural produce like do almost every year.
The perfect green would be artichokes and limes. Artichokes and limes would give me some architecture to my arrangement as well..
I saw a long wooden box full of candles and pumpkins on a blog, and I knew I wanted to have a large box made for my table.
You can read about it HERE!
After taping out the size I decided on a 4ft. 6in. box.
I would stain the box a dark umber with the word, “Blessings” on the side of the box in black.
I gathered branches, and greenery from the park behind my home, and added fresh produce for the pop of green I wanted.
Artichokes, and limes were the perfect green and shape that I needed. I used mini white pumpkins as well.
Pewter candle sticks were the perfect soft sheen the arrangement needed.
I decided to use rosemary and simple brown satin ribbon to tie the silverware together on each placesetting….
I used my vintage umber Fostoria goblets to tie in the browns.
The three clear glass hurricanes added just the right amount of sparkle with the candlelight.
This
table was using darker value colors. In 2012 we go with a lighter and
brighter color pallet. Come back and I will show you what I did last
year.
