Happy First Day of March!!
It is an amazing day today. The sun is shining, birds singing, trees blooming with pink, and white blooms.
All the hills surrounding my house are the most beautiful Spring Green.
Yes, I think Spring is pushing it’s way into our lives, and I love it.
I love March!! It is the month I was married, and this year we get to celebrate Easter in March.
At Christmas time I started pinning inspiration pictures for this years Easter table. I know, crazy, huh?
I saw one particular image that caught my attention, and that was kind of a jumping off point for me.
You all know I am not a DIYer, but these caught my eye. I love the dipped gold bases.
After seeing these I started looking at what color I like to see with Gold and this came to mind….
The more I looked the more I saw a beautiful soft, pale pink was the direction I think I would like to go……
The touch of black makes it interesting.
Maybe a bit much, I think I want something a bit softer, not so much of a contrast.
This is much better, very soft pink, white and gold. Love the gold striping around the cake stand, and the cake. Understated elegance!
Gold dipped, pink eggs!! Now we are really onto something!
I am starting to see a plan come together!
So many pattern choices to choose from!
What about flowers?
Should I do a large arrangement?
OR
How about a cluster of small arrangements?
So many choices…..
How about sparkle?
I am starting to get excited about all the possibilities!!

Hi kathysue,
It's so pretty here today and I can't wait to see what you create with all of this inspiration:). The gold based with flowers are so pretty and those Easter eggs are so sweet..great idea!
Enjoy your weekend!

Okay Miss Inspiration, you almost had me sold on doing something PINK. Almost. I'm just not a pink person or have anything pink in my house, but you have certainly given me food for thought for bringing in another spring color (I know, is there another color?) to mix with gold. I will be on the look out for ideas to lighten up my now winter decor with something as bright and fresh as your selection here. I'll keep you posted and look forward to seeing what all you decide to do.
How pretty and springlike, Kathysue. You have brought a bit of sunshine to our day with this post. We'd go for the smaller clusters of flowers since that's what we're doing for a spring benefit later this month in New York. Wishing you a wonderful weekend (and that spring comes soon to our neck of the woods!)

Even though my name is Pinky, I am so NOT a pink person. So, my go to color at Easter is green. I try so hard to like the pastels but it never works. I do however set my Easter table with pastels since that is all that is available it seems:) I love all your images, especially the gold dipped eggs and spoon. XO, Pinky
PS, it is horrible here, cold, windy, YUCK:( I am LONGING for Spring.
A delightful splash of color to brighten the day.
I love the combination of the metallics and pastels. I vote for the smaller Easter arrangment. What a beautifully done blog!
Was in one of my favorite home boutiques this afternoon and everything was in different degrees of pinks and soft violets!!! So, so pretty!
You have it right!
I just love those tiny vases with a single rose in each one. March 1st is always the beginning spring fever for me.

I always love the intro to your tablescape inspiration, Kathysue! I couldn't love pink more, except maybe gold! No signs of spring here yet! :(
I love the soft pink with gold. Those were the colours I used on my table last Eater (you can see photos of it here: http://gracie-senseandsimplicity.blogspot.ca/2012/04/easter-update.html). The inspiration photo with the flower arrangements in gold containers is beautiful. I think I'm going to let your inspiration be mine and do a pink/gold floral centrepiece this year as well.
Loving all this gorgeous inspiration!!!!
You really know how to get a girl in the mood!!!
Delish!! You know, I'm going with "shades of pink" and copper this time around...guess I need that little "verdigri" accent, too. AND SPARKLE! franki
as i look out my windows and revel in the white frosted landscape i think, "oh yeah, southern california, must be nice!"
love the first image, how fun and simple to do

Gorgeous...love pink and gold together. Unlike you, spring feels far away. Got some more snow last night and they are talking about a potential snow storm on Thurs...UGH!! I am sooooo craving spring,I cannot wait to see green grass again, but first we need to get rid of all this snow! Enjoy springs awakening.....
I do so love pink, especially flowers. You have beautiful images.
My goodness....I love everyone of those ideas! Why do us girls love pink so much???
