Great Ideas For The Summer

ALL ABOUT THE KIDDOS

With the summer months coming up I thought it might be a good idea to have some Great Ideas for the younger family members.

END OF SCHOOL YEAR
At the end of the school year there are parties and lots of fun activities. Some parents like to give the teacher a thank you gift for being such a good teacher to their children.

We all know that teachers get their share of vases, coffee mugs, and picture frames.

There is no way they can ever find room or use all of these items they get.

I think it is nice to give them something they can use up, and enjoy.

Beach towel
Magazine
Mini sunscreen
Treats

END OF THE SCHOOL
It can’t all be fun and games, sometimes we have to be in a teaching mode ourselves.

TEACHING RESPONSIBILITY

MONEY MATTERS

When I ran across this website I knew I needed to share it with my readers……..

Responsibility is one thing we parent’s try to instill in our children as they grow up.

This website is designed  so you can choose the appropriate age of your child, and then it tells you the points they can relate too at their age level.

It also gives you activities that will help you get the point across to them.

SAVING MONEY THE FUN WAY!

Now that you have taught your children how important it is to save money how about giving them a great visual by getting a shadow box and putting a picture of what they are saving for………….

FUN AND GAMES

When my boys were younger there was nothing better than staying outside until the street lights came on. They still talk about that rule to this day.

Just think how fun it would be to let them play in the dark in the front or backyard!……..

Just click on the chilhoodbeckons.com under the above image to read about some fun ideas!!!

Go to the dollar store and purchase glow sticks to add to your bubbles and you will have glow in the dark bubbles.
I prefer a bazillion bubbles, bubble liquid, it really makes great bubbles!

TREATS TO EAT

I love the relaxed, no routine time of the summer, and sometimes it is nice to have a fun dinner. My kiddos love pizza and sometimes we make our own……..

Add a little sauce and they will have fun rolling up their pizza to bake.

Make ice cubes with your favorite fruit juice, or
Kool-aid, and put in a cup of Sprite. When the ice cubes melt the drink will change colors.

I hope this gives you Moms and Grandmas some great ideas to implement with your kiddos this summer.

“Enjoy the Process!” Of:

Doing what ever you would like to do!!!

Happy Saturday!!

Kathysue, I have been catching up on you last few posts, early early this morning... can't sleep! And it was worth missing the sleep because your posts are fabulous! I love all the fun "schools'out ideas" and the six steps to a tidy home... especially the linen spray!
Fabulous! I am having a house full of guests next week, and I am so happy to read about keeping my home tidy!
Thank you so much! I am so inspired by your great blog!!!

Awww, Kathysue, you got me longing for the days when the kids were small and still home all summer. Good memories.

I gave my kids teachers the beach towel idea you have above! Beach towel, sunglasses, real simple magazine, and life savers! So easy and inexpensive. The boys were so excited to take it to school and give it to their teachers!
