Would You Use These Colors For Your Thanksgiving Table???

I am looking for inspiration for my Tday table. It will be here before we know it and now is the time to start pulling it together.

In looking I tried to find different color combinations that might be doable with the dishes and glassware that I already have.

Have you ever thought of using purple and linen?
Here are some pictures to inspire you.

10 m stewart (408x478)
Leave it to Martha Stewart to make an elegant table. Although there is no table cloth, the table gives the color of linen and the addition of purple is lovely.

I love this picture. It shows how beautifully silver or pewter will go with this color combination.

1 (360x460)
2 (534x800)
6 (616x461)
5 (400x400)
Soft and lovely.
11 (320x400)
4 (299x300)
8 (400x420)
008 (800x600)
010 (800x600)
009 (800x600)
The last three pictures are my Tday table from last year.

I used a silver Revere bowl and placed my silver 3 candle, candleholder inside of it and placed the flowers around the base of the candleholder.

I already had the other candle holders and the silver pheasant. I found the purple votive holders at a thrift store as well as the goblets. I made the runners with iron-on tape. The linen table cloth is from Target. I had a letter “P” monogrammed on the corner in cream.

This was a very different color combination for me to use. It is fun to shake things up a bit. Are you all doing something different with your table this year?

I plan on doing a few more post of different color combinations that might be fun for our Tday tables.

I hope that this gives you a little inspiration for your Tday table.

Dearest Kathysue,

Are you aware of the fact that no thumbnail shows up lately with the first image of your blog, that is, on the listing of blogs I follow. Wonder why...
Guess you're speaking of 'Thanksgiving Day' when you use Tday? It would be more appropriate for putting this very important historical day for our great nation out in full!
Love your table setting the most as I'm not very carried away with Martha's casual setting. That is not at all elegant looking.

Have a great week and I'm sending you sunshine your way from Georgia,

Well I'm inspired Kathysue. Your Tday table from last year is so elegant. I'm wondering what you have up your sleeve this year! Actually, purple goes great with all the fall colors and decor. The possibilities are endless. Purple glasses, purple transferware, purple grapes and hydrangeas for the centerpiece. You've got my mind racing! And I love that first photo from MS. I think it is elegant, even without the tablecloth. You know how I like rustic juxtaposed with elegant...and she does that with that tablesetting.
Have a fantastic day, you busy lady!

I like the use of non-traditional colors for the holidays. It saves money too since you can use them throughout the year.

Well, since I'm still settling in I'll be lucky to find enough dishes. I do have an eggplant colored tablecloth, though, and your post gives me some ideas. Your table looks beautiful!

Love that first table setting, what a gorgeous looking rustic table and a big fan of purple flowers. My garden is full of them especially lavender. G

Beautiful table from last year's holiday and I love your mirrored doors. I am in love with copper and bronze this year so that is what I have been working on, adding a bit of mercury glass to really change things up. Looking forward to seeing your table this year.

I have found a lot of inspiration on your blog - just discovered it while blog hopping! I haven't thought of putting any shade of purple on a tablescape for Thanksgiving but thanks to your pics, I really think it works! Your own table looks wonderful! As always, lovely inspiration photos Kathysue. I have to respectfully disagree with Mariette, I think the Martha Stewart table is lovely. Casual elegance at it's best, even though it might not be everyone's cup of tea. And I love this color palate, and that's saying something. You know how hard I had to work to banish a certain purple room in my home LOL. Hugs, Kat

Another inspiring post! I love the rich colors of autumn and I think Tday is the perfect time to use them. I really like the idea of purple because it has such depth and richness to it.
