DIY Easy Coffee Station

907920fr6acenbrs

I come from a long line of coffee drinkers. It is the first cup of coffee I look forward too each morning. I coddle that first cup in my hands, and let the steam flow upward so I can smell the fresh brewed aroma.

Yes! You might say I do love a good cup of coffee! The other thing I love is to have easy access to the coffee maker. I can only assume that my guest feel the same way.

When I am entertaining, or having overnight guest I like to make a little coffee station for my guest. It does not have to be anything extravagant, or large, just convenient, and user friendly.

I have a small kitchen so I only have a very small area that I can use.  Sometimes I think we let the size of  space paralyze us when it comes to making it more useable.

I am the girl who does not like clutter, or things sitting on her counters. To make life more convenient for my guest I pull out my tray, and corral all the  necessary items to make a cup of coffee, or tea.

Here is my small little area right next to my stove…………..

Coffee Bar 012 (600x800)

I like to keep the drawer full of different types of coffee and hot chocolate.

Coffee Bar 011 (600x800)
Since it is right next to the stove I utilize the stove as well…….

Coffee Bar 010 (600x800)

A simple stainless tray holds everything.

Coffee Bar 002 (600x800)

Coffee Bar 008 (600x800)
I keep a small silver Revere bowl full of ice to hold the cream in a hand-blown clear pitcher. I love the way it frost up, and gets small beads of water on it.

You will notice another small striped container next to the bowl, this is what I keep my simple syrup in, for those that like real sugar in their drinks.

I have sweeteners, and of course lemon for hot tea.

Coffee Bar 006 (800x600)
I had to show you this darling lemon fork. I ordered this fork and a spoon for cream, sugar, and milk from Beach House Living’s Etsy shop, you can go HERE to see her other offerings.

You can tell by the pictures it is not a big area at all, and yet it has everything we need to serve coffee to our guest, or for them to get their own cup, and feel right at home. After all isn’t that what we want our guest to feel, right at home?

I have a few more images of coffee bars that show a good use of space……….

You can see that if you have a small area you can set up a coffee station quite easily.

Martha Stewart always does it right so I have to show you her coffee station………..

ONLY IN MY DREAMS!!!!

Until then I will just enjoy a nice cup of coffee from my own little coffee station!

I would have to say my coffee station is one of my favorite kitchen gadgets. Anything that contributes to that first cup of coffee is a favorite of mine!

Love that you have a drawer with your cups. I gave myself a Breville one cup a year ago and live it!!
You are just so smart and so organized, Kathysue!

Kathysue, I just love this. I am a coffee drinker as well. I just love the whole ritual and enjoying the morning sunshine with my cup of coffee. Your coffee station is fantastic. And I agree, its' so wonderful to have guests feel comfortable. Your photography is beautiful by the way. So pretty.

LOVE this post, and best of all I know exactly how wonderful your coffee station is - I have had the pleasure of enjoying it. :) I would love to wake up in the morning and be able to head over to your station and then head out to our fave coffee-drinking spot in your backyard. Sigh - this makes me miss you so much. :( I love the inspiration pictures. I really do need to beef up my coffee/tea station. Thanks for sharing. xxoo

Well, I'm another one of the lucky people who has had the pleasure of enjoying your coffee station first hand. Oh how I wish I could be there with you and Barb again right now! I'm having my first cup of coffee and you have given me some good ideas. Sprucing up my coffee station sounds like a nice little project.

Oh- A girl after my own heart! I do a little coffee station at our house, too. When we remodeled this home I made a "drink" niche and we use it every day of life. It serves as a coffee/tea/wine station and I love it. Yours is great and perfect for you OR your guests- xo Diana

I love my coffee in the morning too. Great coffee bar inspiration, but especially like yours. I have one set up too. It is taking up too much real estate in my kitchen right now, but with house guests, it makes sense.
Have a great week Kathysue! ~Delores

I love having a coffee station for guests! Our guests are usually grandparents so they are "working" while visiting:)

I am a coffee lover...I set my Capresso coffee machine on a timer so that the coffee is ready when I wake up...I love hearing the whirl of the beans grinding and that beautiful smell wafting thru the house..I turned my "pantry with a door" into a butler's pantry/coffee room...a counter dedicated just to coffee...

I love the many images of the coffee stations...so many beautiful ways to serve and store your coffee items....

Loved this post...

I love your coffee bar neatly displayed in the corner. I'm not a coffee drinker but I do love hot cocoa. These spaces you showed all bring a sense of warmth, welcome and comfort!

I love the fact that you have done a creative job making a very inviting space. I am tea person more than coffee.

What a beautiful and inspirational blog. I, too, hate counter top clutter & make a presentation of serving coffee or tea in my cutest little dishes when family or company come over! Thank you for the link to the 'little' fork. I was so wanting one at last night's family dinner!
