Random Christmas things to do!!

Sometimes I find it easier to write when I am writing about a  particular subject, or at least have a theme in mind. Today I am going to do what I will call a random Christmas post.

I don’t know about you, but  I find my mind goes from gift buying, too wrapping, baking, and then back to decorating.

I just love it when my mind spins.

I am at that point in all of my Holiday planning, and getting ready where I am tweaking, and tying up last minute details and truly enjoying it all.

With that in mind I am going to show some ideas that will involve a little of this, and a little of that. Are you ready for the ride on my random sleigh?  Here we go………..

I love, love this and it is definitely going to stay in my memory bank. Believe it or not,I am already thinking about my decorating for next Christmas. In fact I will write a post about it. I need to do that so I won’t forget!!

Did you know that you could have custom calligraphy gift tags made?! Me either!! I love this idea!!!

Mr. Goodwill Hunting did an impressive makeover on an old wing back chair, by painting it black, genius!! What I love the most about this chair is how he tucked the plaid throw under the cushion and then he embellished the front with a man’s suspender!! I love love this, it is so handsome!! Can’t you just see this in a library or den!!?

Mason jars with Epsom salts that look all frosty and snowy!!

Pretty darn cute, I must say!!

CLEVER!

If you have teenagers, or older children they always love to get money. What a fun presentation!

With all the cold weather and cooking and baking that we all do this time of year, this would be a welcomed gift by any hostess or Mom!!

I LOVE this!! What a fun way to drink anything. I know any kiddo would love this!!!

Fun stocking stuffer!

Design your own watch! This is great for older kids!

Okay! that is enough randomness for a Monday! I need to get going on some random things of my own!!
Happy Happy Monday to you all!

Can You Find Your Inner Child?

It is officially two weeks until Christmas!! I can hardly believe it! I am so excited!!
I might be a Grammy, but when it is this time of year I am that little girl inside who loves the lights, music and the anticipation of Christmas Eve waiting for Santa to visit!!

I know many of us feel the crunch right about now, and definitely will be  feeling it next weekend.

I have learned one thing over the years,”The Important Things Always Get Done!”

I think this time of year it is so difficult to juggle it all. Work, family, housework, gift buying, decorating, baking!! The list could go on and on!!!

I will admit I am at a point in my life where I have the luxury of more time, and trust me it is a good thing since it seems that everything takes four times longer to do than it use too!!!

Having time feels like a luxury in most of our lives and yet we all have the same 24 hours in a day that our ancestors had.

I think where things go awry is more about  how we spend our time, or how we balance our time.
I know it is hard if not impossible to do it all. Trust me YOU CAN’T do it all, but you can do the important things.

So this time of year, really get in tuned with your priorities. Take a 30 minute break to re-group and prioritize what is truly important.

I think you might be surprised when you realize it is not the important people, or things that are making you feel off balance, but it is all of the other, “STUFF!”  that you are trying to fit in.

To be honest you really won’t even remember the unimportant things next year or even the next.

However you will always remember the sweet moments, and time you spent with your loved ones.

So my wish for all of you this year is to keep in mind who, and what your priorities are, and place them in proper order.

It will be different for each individual, but dig deep in your heart, and you will find the right, “To Do List!”

It was in your inner child’s heart the whole time just waiting for you to find it !♥

Merry Christmas To YOU and YOUR’S!

There Are Angels Among Us!!

I knew I was starting to feel better when I got the urge to start decorating again. I paced myself and I am not quite done, but I like to take my time and enjoy the process.

I worked on my dining room table last night and so far I am really liking it.

As I told you all in a previous post my inspiration this year was this picture……….

I am so drawn to images of angels or anything having to do with angels, so when I saw this picture with the angel wings I knew that I had to do something similar in my dining room.

I did not do exactly the same look, but I am using the angel wings on my chairs. I wanted the room to have a shimmery, sparkly, ethereal effect.

I started out by hanging some mercury glass ornaments from my chandelier boy did that turn out to be harder than I thought it would be. I guess my fingers are not as nimble as they use to be……..

I added the little angel wings, not sure if they will stay or not, but for now I think I like them. What do you all think?

I am not done so I am only going to show you some glimpses. Once I am done I will light all the candles and show you my sparkly dining room table!!

I am enjoying decking my halls!! How about you all, are you enjoying your time decorating this year?
