I JUST CAN'T DO IT!!!

There is one fashion trend I just can NOT get on board with, and that is the torn/ripped jean look.

In my opinion this is where someone wanted to be so different that they came up with bazaar style statement.

I know, I know, I am totally in the minority here, and that's okay. Everyone should always wear what they are comfortable in.

It truly amazes me the price point of jeans that I would have thrown away without a second thought.

However, I did succumb to this trend to a point, but the holes in my new jeans are not rips, they are actually a print.

The closest thing to a rip is the cute unfinished hem that looks like fringe.

Talk about fringe, I can get all over that. For some reason I am a big fan of fringe and pom poms. I find them both fun and sassy.

get them HERE! On Sale 50% already marked down pricing!!!

Ann Taylor had these darling above the ankle white jeans that I just could not resist. I ordered them in a size larger than what they recommended for me because there is no way that size was going to fit me.

 WRONG the smaller size
is on it's way!!
(secretly this truly did make me very happy!)

Be sure to take the time to fill out their size questionnaire, they were absolutely right when it came to the sizing of these pants.

I plan on wearing just a white t-shirt and brown sandals and belt with mine but black tank top with a gold belt and gold flip flops would be cute too.

This top caught my eye, and I am debating on getting it as well, especially since it is on sale right now at such a great price point.

I think the darling trim would look great with my new jeans and again just simple cognac leather sandals and a cute bangle will be the accessories.

FYI Ann Taylor is having great sales right now so if you are debating on anything now is the time to get it!!

So what do you all think about the torn/ripped jean style?

It is a fad that I think looks cute on teenagers, then it stops there for me. When everyone in the world is trying to carry this look off, it just looks cheap. Wow, that was a mouth full.

I am 100% with you on ripped jeans. I detest them. I remember when a favourite pair of my jeans got a ripped knee when I crouched down one day and I had to spend the rest of the day in them. They were so uncomfortable and I couldn't wait to get them off. Even with a patch, they felt dreadful and were soon put into the bin. I can understand buying jeans that feel well worn and soft, but not ones that are ready for the rubbish!
I also adore pompoms and fringes. They look fun and fresh.

I can't either! I think on women my age they just look unkept. I have one pair that I bought from Banana that I bought by accident with a rip right at the knee. I absolutely love the fit and style of these jeans so I find it really irritating! Love those white jeans and that top! I am wondering how those jeans would fit me?

Cindy if you order them now is the time they are on a great sale right now, be sure and order a smaller size than normal or fill out the questionaire, it was spot on for me. I think you would look adorable in them, actually I am pretty sure you look adorable in most things!!

Kathysue, I thought it was just me. I see so many fashion bloggers wearing these, and it just doesn't work. For one thing, these girls are beautiful and put together that the ripped out knees are distracting. That's all the eye focuses on. Why they can't see it and kick the trend habit. I've always gone for classic rather than trendy, so I'm not the best critic. Each to their own!

I’m with you. I don’t want to look like a bum.
