Something I Am Loving At The Moment

Do you  ever see something that just catches your fancy?

You know that you have seen it many times before,
but for some reason, all of the sudden it becomes something that is very appealing to you. You start noticing it more, and more as you look around blogland.

That is how it has been lately for me, with paneled walls. Not the old brown paneling that our parents had in the 60’s and 70’s.

A fresher look, one that adds dimension, and interest to a room.

Let me show the paneled walls that are really catching my fancy right now…….

These are the type of
paneled walls I am finding very appealing right now.

These walls are a little more complicated, and traditional than the last image. This is true judges panels, but not just as a wainscoting, the entire wall. Love this!!

WAINSCOTING

This is a wainscoting treatment that has the squares and rectangles mixed. So pretty.

A simple treatment is used here.

If I ever had a staircase I think this is the treatment I would use.

It doesn’t have to be the full wall to be effective.

A more contemporary setting using color on the paneled wall.

This is a little different treatment than using the squares, but equally as interesting, and appealing.

This is on my Someday List!

I have been looking around my house to see where I can use this treatment.  Not sure hubby will agree, but I think I see a paneled wall in my future.

How about you, do you like this style of paneled walls?

Oh Boy, When I think I have had MC do it all....you show up with this. I will be looking around for areas I could "sell" this idea to him! Love it!

Oh I love all of these. I think the squares on an entire wall are my favorite. I'd love to do this in my entry but definitely couldn't do it myself. :o) Enjoy your weekend!

Not quite sure...but in the right room it would be great.

Hi Kathysue,
Catching up on my blogs tonight. Love your examples of paneling. I love wainscoting and this is a very interesting take. Not sure how I feel about it for me though. But you should definitely add it to your home, one way or another. Add it to your honey-do list! Have a fabulous weekend! ~Delores

Paneled walls are so handsome and add value for resale. I love them painted white or stained really deep in a library room. Hope you are having a wonderful weekend, Kathysue!

Yes, love this look. Have you seen what Rhoda did in her Dining Room? She did this same thing and I am so in love with the look. I simply adore that nursery you showed. I am trying to picture your home and thinking where you could put this. Maybe the wall in your LR that you face when you walk in?

I had wainscoting installed in both my kids' rooms even before our major remodel. I love them! Great examples here. Especially love the 2nd image.

Okay, you are starting trouble now. I just finished a lengthy kitchen remodel, but I may have to find a spot for paneled walls. I created the look of paneling in my library by adding chair rail and boxes made of moulding, but it is not the real thing. I am going to have to give this idea some thought. Thanks...I think.
