How To Keep Your Hair Healthy In The Summer

Since summer weather is here our skin and hair will be exposed to more drying temperatures, and the harsh rays of the sun.

I thought it was a good time to share a few of the beauty products I like to use.

I have admitted I am a semi-product junky at heart, but there are some tried, and true products that I have used for years.

You will see products at different price points. Some high, low, and even medium priced products . You will also see products that I will only use one brand.

Shall we start at the top, and work our way down, so to speak?……..

High… Alterna Caviar

Medium…….Joico Moisture Treatment Shampoo

Low……Suave Naturals Aloe and Waterlily

Conditioning Masque:

I only use this one. I ♥♥♥ it. I actually wash my hair at night, put on the conditioner and leave it on over night, then wash it out the next day. I do this twice a month.

I promise, this stuff will leave your hair silky, shiny, soft, and it will smell unbelievably lovely.

High…….. Alterna Caviar

I can’t say enough about this hairspray. It holds your hair yet allows movement. It never feels sticky, or stiff. I notice it also makes my hair a bit more shiny. I am all about the shine!!

Medium…Sebastian Shaper Plus Hairspray………

When I need a little extra hold this is the one that has worked well for me. It does not seem to leave my hair dry, or brittle like some hairsprays can, and it is reasonably priced.

Last but not least shall we add a little shine to your hair…….

I have used this product for years, it is tried, and true. It gives shine with just a few spritz, and it smells heavenly.

When I am in a tropical area  I know my hair will be exposed to the harmful sun, or chlorine of the pool, I use…

Oscar Blandi Capri Sun shield…………

If you would like to purchase any of the above products just click on the SOURCE below each image and it will take you to a site where you can purchase it.

This is a picture of the back of my hair after spending the day in Egypt viewing the pyramids on my 60th birthday.

I would love to know what products you have found that you love for your hair. Leave a comment and tell us what you love.

Come back for my next post to see what I like for my skin!!

aveda's blue malva helps to minimize brassy blonde, and my favorite conditioner remains aussie's 3 minute miracle. my hair is very fine and limp so i love what the sun, beach, and salt water do for it--pump it up (with damage!)and add texture.

fun post, kathysue!

*** FUN, INFORMATIVE & FAB posting, Ks!!! (But I just "HATE it" when they use M*Y hair as a good example, as in the FIRST PIC! Ha ha ha!!!... "As IF!!!"..._).

I actually made a LIST of some things to try, too... (I believe "CHANGE IS GOOD" ocassionally!!! Besides, as Forest Gump says, "life is like a box o' chocolates...", right???). Will let you know results!!!

First, Kathysue, your hair is lovely. Second, I have two favorite products for my hair:
shampoo - Kerastase Reflection Bain Miroir
conditioner - Kerastase Reflection Chroma Reflect

For the occasional time I need a little hairspray, I like Aveda's air control. I have never colored my hair, so the variety of products I use is minimal.

I used Rusk years ago; maybe I'll try it again. Thanks for the fun suggestions.

Hi, Kathysue!
I am so glad to be visiting your blog for the first time. Thanks for popping over on mine. Now my hair is not that long (and not that blonde), but I have seven sisters and lots of girlfriends who will benefit from reading this post. I'm sending them your link :-)
Looking forward to enjoying your blog.
Cheers from DC,

Kathy sue, it actually is a nightmare for me to try to buy products. I have to read everything! so many things block my medication I take for Fibromyalgia. I wish i could try this, but chances are i can not...at least i feel great and am able to live a normal life.

Love the Joico + Matrix products. A good clarifying shampoo is important for anyone who swims in a chlorinated pool too. I like Kendra clarifying once a week. Using their color care shampoo currently. xo

A logo is the trademark of any organization. A trademark differentiates one company from the other even though their product lines may be same. It is extremely vital and fruitful at the same time to choose a custom logo design service to familiarize the people by demonstrating your organization in the best manner.
