Beautiful silver goblets with moss and miniature trees. Small apples gently tossed on the mantle. I think this is such a simple look and yet, it remains festive and elegant at the same time.
I love that this vignette is using natural elements from outside. Branches and berries placed in simple clear cylinder vases. You add Christmas balls and votives and you will have a sparkling vignette.
This is one of my favorites. They used cylinders without bottoms and added white lights. Just look at the sparkle. Be sure and get the white lights that have white wires. I think this could be used in just about any style of home. Love this one!!!!
By adding sprigs of fresh greenery this armoire becomes a focal point for the Christmas holiday.
I have had this in my file for a very long time. I think for a guest room this simple touch would make your guest feel very special.
Very traditional and simple. Greenery on the window sill lined with brass candleholders and white candles. So simple to do.
We can all do this!! Simple and elegant.
Three topiaries add green, but look how they have used greenery to hold back the draperies.
After looking at all of these images can you see that simple easy to do decorations can give you a wonderfully festive and sometimes elegant look for the Christmas holiday?

I love Christmas so it's great to read your tips, Kathysue! Have a lovely weekend!
I love many of these ideas, Kathysue! I think one of my favorites are the cylinders on the mantle with the white lights. I have quite a few cynlinders, and I think I could simply turn them over so that the open area is on the bottom. Then I could actually set something pretty on top, as well -- like little bits of greenery with some white flowers. Think it would work? I think I could also run some greenery on that mantle around the cylinders of lights. OK -- all set now. Thanks for the great idea!
Hi Kathysue! My favorites are the goblets and the hutch -- simply beautiful. I agree of the both extremes thing. I'm definitely in the camp of over the top. I LOVE it :) Have a great day
Kathysue, I LOVE this post! All of these are so beautiful. I love the branches too but whenever I go out to look for some it doesn't come out right! xo
Oh Kathysue, such beautiful decorations. Great ideas and inspiration. You always find the best ideas. Hugs, Marty

So tickled to happen upon your blog this morning! Love these photos. You've inspired me to spread my chirstmas decorating (pretty simple usually) to the bedrooms...I never do that!
Dearest Kathysue,
Yes in life it is often: Kiss = Keep It Sweet & Simple!

Simple can be so beautiful, can't it? My favorites are the lights in the cylinders and the branches with Christmas ornaments. Have a wonderful weekend!
Simple is my middle name-or at least my blog's middle name! I love both simple and over the top when it comes to the holidays, but simple is soooo much easier to pack back up on January 1st!
Hmmm...pretty, pretty, pretty! I love simple holiday decorating: some lights, some greenery (preferably real -- love the smell!) and maybe some paperwhites. Voila!
Hope you're doing well, Kathysue!
Such great ideas- I LOVE that glass cylinder one- such a cute idea!!
They all look lovely, but I am still a kid a heart, so OVER THE TOP FOR ME!!!!hehe Kathy
What beautiful inspiring pictures! I love the lights in the cylinders too and Jan's idea of turning them over to put some thing on top I love as well! I am going to do the greens holding the drapes back in our dining room! Thanks for these wonderful ideas!!!!!!!!!!!! XO, Pinky

Beautiful images. I especially like the traditional wreath and greens in the window.
I also really like the lights in the cylinders.
Thank you for the wonderful inspiration. I still can't believe it's this time of year again!
Simple is about all I'm going to do this year. Great ideas, Kathysue. I know you're haveing fun with all this Christmas!!
Timewise I may have to do "simple" this year so the ideas are great. I am in the mood early this year. XO
Kathysue, I like simple and elegant. Thanks for sharing the ideas.
I like to go glam with my Christmas decorating - lots of silver & sparkle :-) But I do like these simpler decorating ideas. The first three are my favourites :-)
