Luxurious Bathrooms

My favorite room to design has always been the bathroom. I think it should be one of the best dressed rooms in the house. After all it is the only room that you or your guest will go into and sit down and having nothing to do but look around. There will be no one else to watch you or your guest looking at it. Sounds kind of funny, but you know it is true. With that in mind, I love a pretty bathroom. I found a few images of bathrooms that are not for all of us, but I think we can all appreciate how luxurious they are.
stairs
I am pretty sure not many of us have a gorgeous winding staircase to our sunken bathtub, but oh how lovely it would be if we did.
two tubs
Maybe two side by side tubs for a relaxing time with your loved one.
black and white
I love the simplicity and elegance of this bathroom. This is exactly the same floor I have in my guest bathroom and I love it!
glamorous
I think this bathroom is just glamorous! The shelf above the tub with its backlighting is an idea I am definitely going to keep in my memory bank.

If you need a large shower I think this one will fit the bill. Anyone for your own comfy area to soak your feet after a long day?
soji
For the more exotic how about an Asian infusion in your bath area? Amazing!
snow
This of course is for your ski lodge in the mountains. We all have one of those,  right? This is a great use of space and storage if you look closely. I also like the wall lights that are used for soft lighting over the tub. Great use of wood elements and notice the shower floor.

For those of you who like more of a contemporary edge, this bathroom would be lovely. I love the lounging area. Notice the steel grid windows that are so popular right now.
claw foot
This is the simplest of the luxurious baths, but it still has special touches. The Oriental rug on the textural brick floor and lovely French doors with the low-hung crystal chandelier. Love it all!!
As I said before, these might not be for all of us, but it is still nice to have some eye candy and something to day dream about. What would you have in your dream bathroom if money were no object!?

I love a well designed bathroom; finding a place with a big one is hard to do, though!

Good mornin' Miss Kathysue! I have enjoyed scrolling through and getting caught up with your lovely posts! You know I loved the blue and white and, of course, having another peek at your wonderful toile bathroom! I love a luxurious bathroom! Your spa bathroom is an example, too. :-) When I think of black and white floors, Antoine's restaurant in New Orleans comes to my mind. Hope you have a wonderful holiday weekend!...hugs...Debbie

What fun to fantasize about baths like this!
I love the first image.
I am also drawn to the idea of the bath
with the seat & foot soaking tub!
BUT, I have always wanted a claw foot tub,
so I would say the bath that is most ME
would be the last image. {Calgon, take me
awaaaaaay!!!!} Fun post, Kathysue!

Our humble house was built in the early 80's by two poor kids, so the bathroom are nothing to crow about... but I am working on mine right now, not huge plans but alittle something to make me smile...

Must haves are a separate tub (preferably clawfoot) and shower. And if money were no object, I would have separate bathrooms for the Mr. and I!

Great post for a Friday! I'd love to plop down in one of those luxurious tubs and be swept away...but wait....I'm reading design blogs!!What a surprise! There's lots of inspiration in this post. (and a lot of black and white! but then the queen of black and white wrote it LOL!) Reading your post is a great way to kick off the holiday. Hope its a good one for you!
