Yesterday was a really fun day for me!! I spent the day wrapping gifts and making special name tags.
I recently saw these gifts on pinterest, and I became inspired…….
I decided to give this idea my own twist!!
Trust me when I say these are sooooo easy to make.
All you will need is pictured below:
Everything can be purchased at Michael’s, or Joann’s except for the bakers twine. I ordered that online last year.
I used the red paper to make my own red tags.
I downloaded some pictures of family members in black, and white.
Once
I saw the pictures in black and white I decided to use the old
fashioned photo corners in black since a lot of my wrapping paper has
black in it.
After cutting, glue sticking, glittering, and tying this is what I came up with……….
(My oldest Grandson after kicking the winning goal for the championship. I love his smile in this picture!)
I added a little border of black glitter to the red tag.
Notice the tail of the ribbon on the right. I embossed one tail on each bow with the letter “P.”( My youngest Grandson sitting on some rocks after going on a hike with his Mom. Just look at those cheeks, trust me they are kissable, and he gives the best hugs)
(My Granddaughter modeling an outfit on a Birthday shopping trip, she is my little fashionista, and she is just as sweet as she looks)
( My Oldest son and his beautiful wife, parents of my little Fashionista)
(My youngest son on the left, and my middle son on the right. All three of my sons are the kindest men, I am so proud of them, plus they are really handsome!!)
(Brothers)
(My middle son and his beautiful wife, my boys have very good taste in women!! Mom and Dad of my sweet Grandsons)
I still have more to wrap, and more tags to hang on packages, but I put a big dent in my wrapping today.
Do you know what the best part of doing the tags was for me?
I got to see my beautiful family’s faces all day long!!

ReplyDeleteWow, Kathysue. I am sooo impressed. To me the name tags always take away from the beauty of a wrapped gift. You have made them the star.
ReplyDeleteVery cute, Kathy. Great idea!
ReplyDeleteI saw this on pinterest and thought it such a great idea. Easy for little ones that cant read there names yet. Great job I love your interpretation.

Love that idea. Looks like it took lots of effort but plenty of fun too. It's so nice to have a personalised tag for each family member, and something you can keep and recycle for next year too, or hang them on the tree. Your tree is looking wonderful.

ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous Family you have and it is clear you love them all to bits. That is the most precious of gifts. I love the way you have adapted the photo gift card ideas which fits perfectly into that black, white and red paper scheme you have. Very inspirational. I really love the paper with the trees on them. Where did you get it from? Happy holiday preperations and a Merry Christmas.

Your tags look wonderful. I'm curious, when your presents get opened and you've used such pretty ribbons on them, what do you see the recipients usually do with the ribbons? Do they keep them, throw them out with the paper or offer it back to you? I know if someone gave me a gift with such pretty ribbon I would keep it, but one year I took the time to make special "charmlike" tags with their initials and no one bothered to keep them or make any comments so it's kinda made me think twice about going to the extra effort again.
ReplyDeleteWhat an absolutely CUTE idea! I love them! No more figuring out whose present it is! LOL!
ReplyDeleteblessings,
karianne
Oh Kathysue, I love this idea, how fun is that. Your packages are so beautiful, I would be happy with just an empty box, the package is a super present. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteYou are so talented....what a great idea!
ReplyDeleteI love this idea, Kathysue. Last year I made tags for the Christmas stockings with baby pictures of my sons (now in their forties), my daughter-in-law, me (age unknown) and my grandson (the only one whose picture was current). You have a beautiful family.
ReplyDeleteXO, Victoria
What a great idea. I love your memory tree as well (working backwards in my blog reading). I haven't even finished shopping yet - let alone wrapping.
ReplyDeleteThis is brilliant, Kathysue! I even already have a whole bunch of blank tags that I could do this with. Love your combination of red, white and black on the packages. Thank you for linking up to the Better Late Than Never Christmas Inspirations bloghop.
