One week before Christmas last year I made a decision on this year’s décor.
I became very enamored with the Moravian Stars I was seeing. They fascinated me, and I found myself staring at them whenever I would spot one.
This
year’s decorations I have incorporated the Moravian Star. I did a short
little post , showing my Christmas elf hanging them.
I got several emails asking about how we hung them, and where did we get them.
The lights came from sears, you can click on the source below the picture and it will take you to their site….
My very helpful elf, cut the cords, and attached a new plug. You can get a plug kit at Home depot or Lowes.
Then he added an adapter that just screws into the light socket of the can lights in the ceiling.
He plugged it in and VOILA!!!
Let there Be Light!
We also have one on top of the tree, see how it glows in the reflection!!
If you happen to buy the paper lanterns in the shape of a star I did find a handy dandy way to light those also….
I hope this helps all of you who have inquired about the Moravian star lights.

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful post. Love the stars but I especially love the quote at the end of your post. We all need this gentle reminder! Love the way you wove the stars and quote together.
ReplyDeletethis is absolutely magical! Thank you so much for sharing how you did it.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Great idea. I appreciate that you shared the info I needed!
ReplyDeleteEvery time I looked at my Nativity scene I kept on thinking it needed a lit star over it. When I was looking at the Christmas IKEA catalogs they had flat Monrovian lights (meaning it was like cut in half and flat against the wall) and I remembered that it was the kind of light my mom had over her Nativity. I didn't make it to IKEA to get it but next year I know I'll be looking for something like that. You are lucky to have a supportive elf. My elf grumbles when he takes down the Christmas stuff and grouches about clutter. sigh! I still put all my stuff up every Christmas grouching or not.
