I love, love this. As soon as I saw it I knew this was my inspiration!! I probably won’t do the exact same thing, but I have been wanting to use the standing stack of wheat for a long time.
I love the colors and the feel that this table gives me. Understated elegance.
This idea will work so well in my dining room. I know most of you have seen my dining room on my blog before, but for those of you who have not seen it, here is a glimpse of my dining room……..
Now you can see why the soft green and wheat will look amazing in my dining room.
My friend Eddie Ross made a good suggestion when he said to not force a color in your dining room, but to work with the colors that are existing. I am lucky since mine is green. Almost all colors will work in here except of course orange!(that is because I do not like orange.)
I have my inspiration and I have done several other post with different color options to hopefully inspire you all.
Here are a few more pictures of soft green table settings………
So there you have it!! Is a soft green color pallet something you would think of using for your Thanksgiving table setting?

Your dining room is beautiful...I think the wheatstalk centerpiece will be just perfect!!!!

Oooh! Green is one of my favorite colors. The walls in my dining room & kitchen are Svelte Green. Your photos are inspiring.

Beautiful...just perfect. I admire your dining room, so elegant and classic. I can't use orange in my public rooms either. (-:
ReplyDeleteGreen is my favorite color too. I think Eddie is right, just go with your color and don't force a new one into the scheme. Your table will be fantastic with the wheat stalks.
ReplyDeleteOh Kathysue, I love the wheat and it looks exactly like you. I know you will make it stunning. Beautiful inspiration. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteI think the standing stack is awesome, so nature-y and surprises by its self-standingness!
ReplyDeleteKathysue it is perfect and I do love your dining room!!

It's so you!! The green and cream always looks so fresh....love the glass vases with the green and white flowers. I would ususally say that this colorway would look springy, but when you deepen the cream and mute everything it takes on the real warmth of fall. Can't wait to see what magic you create!
ReplyDeleteKathysue, I love your final inspiration. It is absolutely perfect. The soft hues will be so stunning in your already beautiful dining room. I really like the pumpkin in the urn that is on the table right now too. You have a real knack, and it looks like we both have a passion for green. But alas, I really do like orange (ha), it's just not in my home! Have a great weekend and please , please don't miss the opening of my online store on Monday. Mona
ReplyDeleteI LOOVE your inspiration! Gorgeously understated but beautiful! Can't wait to see your table!
ReplyDeleteYou are right. Very pretty. I understand about "forcing colors." I have a bold red dining room which accommodates Christmas well, but is always challenging at Thanksgiving and, particularly, Easter. Can't wait to see your tablescape pictures. You have a very pretty dining room. So clever with the mirrors and lighting.
ReplyDeleteI love your centerpiece in the post above. So beautiful and speaks of bounty. I was wondering if you know anything about the tableware with wood handles in this post. I have my baby set with the same handles. I didn't know there was a set of them.
