Using Candles In Fall Decor

When the candle lighting ceremony begins that is when I know I am now officially in the mood for Fall. It is a funny occurrence that usually starts around the time of football season. All of the sudden I start putting candles on the mantle, humming along and lighting them at nightfall. You see Fall is more of an internal occurrence for me than just a seasonal change. My mood starts wanting a cozier, warmer feel to my home. So, out come the candles!!!

Candles are an inexpensive way to add to your decor for the fall. They bring a touch of warmth not only in the ambiance of a room , but if scented, can set the stage for cozy and welcoming space. I like to find different and unusual ways to use candles. I am sure you have seen most of these, but since it is the beginning of the season, I thought it would be a good reminder and inspiration for all of us. I hope you see something new and inspiring………

  1. There's something about a collection of different sized candles, especially in a fireplace or as a centerpiece that just screams comfort!

  4. I love the ambiance candles create, but with a 2 and 4 year old it's rare that candles are glowing in our home. Gorgeous images and love all the examples of candles in use.

  7. For the first time in this hot and humid summer I am wearing my robe on the veranda for my morning coffee............autumn is on it's way. I adore candles but unfortunately they don't like me so I am on the hunt for pure unscented ones that will make my home glow. Lovely post. XO

  8. I can never have enough candles! Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall--candles everywhere! But, I agree, there is something about Fall that makes candles even more special. Along with a fire in the fireplace. The smell of burning wood reminds me of Fall. Ok, now you've put me in the mood. Is it Fall yet? Great post Kathysue! xo Delores

  14. I may just have to light one now, make the house smell good. I love candles, but I also have a slight fear of going off and forgetting to blow one out. I think the candles on the stairway are gorgeous, but I also want to scream "danger, danger"!

  25. Oooh, the collection of silver candlesticks on the white console table is beautiful!!

I used to light lots of candles around the house, but for whatever reason, I got out of the habit. Your pictures are inspiring me to get back to it :-)

  26. What is it about candles? I love them in all seasons. I guess it's the ambience they create.
Even in summer I love them on picnic tables and on the mantle in glass. But fall has a calling all it's own and the candles MUST be glowing.
Thank you for the wonderful post.

    grime up the insides
    of the windows....
    It's always a bone
    of contention!
    Guess who wins???
