Black and White Floors

Now that you have seen the post with my all black and white guest bathroom I thought I would share some images of some rooms that I am drawn too because of the flooring:

I love the striped banquette with the pop of lime green accent pillows. So fresh and fun.

This floor is actually stained with black stain to make the diamond pattern in the flooring. Notice the black trim tile outlining the counter.

What amazing light this kitchen is getting through all these wondeful windows. Nothing prettier to me than a light filled room with checked floors.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at black and white floors as much as I have. It is fun opening up an inspiration file and finding so many lovelies. It is kind of like getting the Sears Roebuck Christmas catalog when we were children.

    I love black and white floors too and especially like it if they are painted that way. The image of the kitchen with the painted floors is what I'm talking about! Also, love how those apple green pillows popped in the other kitchen. Great post Kathysue.

    The Charleston porch is beautiful, and I love the detail on the floor of Mrs. Howards entry. The stained kitchen floor is great too :-)

    Kathysue, I will have to say that floor with the boards stained black and white is my favorite. I love any wood surface where the wood shows thru the paint...

    LOVE black & white!! Have to have my red along too though. :-) I would definitely have a black & white floor if this space were mine. Your bath is great! My guest bath is done in black & white, zebra style.

    I adore a black & white checkerboard floor turned on the diagonal. Have had this floor installed in every house I have lived in - I never tire of it!

    Some very beautiful floors here.(Entire rooms actually). I really like the ones with the larger patterns. The bigger the better. The kitchen with large black and white stripe on the bench and bright green pillows really caught my eye. Thanks for sharing.

    I absolutely love the black and white flooring for a kitchen! Had that in my first (tiny) apartment, and I think it would work so well in a beach themed cottage too!

    Love the Charleston Porch and the painted black and white hardwoods (although I'd never have the nerve). Reminds me of my Grandma's kitchen and breakfast room as they had the black and white floors. Fun post!
