Tortoise Shell A Fall Wardrobe Staple

When it comes to color you will not see me in brown clothing, but you will see me in combinations of brown and black in accessories.

I love the look of tortoise shell. The combination of browns and blacks are intriguing to me. I find it to be classic and timeless in my wardrobe.

When I was just 12 years old I got my first bracelet with  a tortoise shell look. I still have that bracelet 50years later, and I still wear it.

Today I thought I would share a few pieces that are on my radar…..

I love this handsome watch. It is simple and classic in every way. Notice the cute detail of the date being on an angle for easy viewing, so clever!

If you prefer round watches this one is for you. I am loving the mixed link chain look with the gold and tortoise.

Such a pretty bracelet. I love the little gold details at each corner.

Trina Turk did a wonderful job designing this cocktail ring. I could see me wearing this for years to com.

I actually ordered this over sized bangle, and I love it. It has a matte gold universal monogram with a little touch of bling with a Swarovski crystal. Another fun classic for my wardrobe. It is also hinged for easy taking on and off.

Marc Jacob’s infinity bracelet would be a fun piece to add to any wardrobe.

Leave it to Ralph Lauren to make such a beautiful, timeless clutch. This would be such a fun piece to carry.

The ever-classic tortoise shell sun glasses.

What's not to love?!

Another timeless beauty!

With Fall right around the corner I am finding my mind wandering towards all things tortoise!!!

How about you?

Do you have a Fall staple for your wardrobe that never lets you down? You know the one piece that makes you  feel like a million bucks when you put it on.

  10. Kathysue, you are featuring one of my favorite looks. I've long been in love with tortoise shell items. I have a couple of authentic tortoise shell bracelets and several other pieces of jewelry that are faux tortoise. Tortoise is so classic. Will you be sporting a tortoise shell bracelet in Paris? Love the example you showed. I adore the RL clutch too, but it says it is no longer available. At $1000, don't think it would be in my wardrobe even if it were still available for purchase. LOL

Thanks for sharing all the tortoise details.....Sarah
