Kathysue's First Tablescape Thursday All Dressed up for Easter

I looked at the calendar yesterday and I realized that Easter is April 4th, Yikes!! It made me realize I need to get a move on. I have already purchased one element for the Easter table. The darling turqouise ceramic egg holder from Anthropologie, You can read about it here. I went to my inspiration files and I have a couple of ideas in mind that I will post on that later. With Easter in mind I thought I would post my table from last year. It all started with Mr. Bunny-boy, then came the moss ; the clay pots; the flowers and....... You get the point, here I will just show you.........

I wanted a bright and cheerful table this year so the pink damask print was a perfect starting point. I found the bright yellow plates at the famous Dollar store and the bright pink place mats at Big-Lots. The white plates are my every day dishes. The goblets are vintage cranberry Royal crown. You will notice the moss is actually a roll of moss purchased at the flower mart for a wedding I was designing. All the clay pots I already had . I purchased the gerbera daisies and allysum from the nursery and all the rocks came from my yard. I wanted it to look like a little forest scene. Here are a few more pictures of different angles.

The moss runner is 4 ft long and Mr Bunny Boy is about 30 inches high. I went with the big is better attitude on this table!

I hope you enjoyed hopping through my little forest scene. This was such an easy table to put together and I hope it will inspire some new ideas for your Easter Table.

" Spring Sampling"

Here is just a sampling of Spring from Half Moon Bay, California.  I needed some flowers for my front flower bed.  I thought I would not only buy flowers but take a nice drive down the coast to a favorite nursery of mine in Half Moon Bay with my Hubby. Here are just a few of the beauties we saw. The picture of the cart is what I took home to plant. I also got some fresh cut flowers to put in a couple of vases at home . I love fresh flowers, don't you?

Hope you enjoyed just a small sampling of all the beautiful flowers I got to see in Half Moon Bay. Time with my Hubby, Ocean and Flowers! It doesn't get much better than this.
