If you have the time definitely take a look at their website they have some amazing gift wrap and who knows maybe you will find your own signature wrap.
I loved the idea of a signature wrap so I thought about it for about one second and I knew exactly what mine should be. I think you all know what the answer is going to be!! My signature wrap is??????
You guessed it! Black and white striped paper. Now, I just knew I could find this paper. Well after a lot of looking and I do mean a lot. I finally found a web-site called Nashville wraps that sold the perfect paper for me. They sell it in bolts to stores so you can buy a lot of paper if you think you will need it. I got a bolt of 24”x 85ft for $18.75. That is an amazing price and so handy in its box that has a cutter on it. I can use my paper for just about any occasion by changing the ornamentation on the gift. Here is a gift I wrapped as a Birthday gift for someone very close to me that loves turquoise……
I made a band out of tissue paper and then made tissue flower and cut striped leaves. I think it turned out pretty cute . It could be altered by changing the color of the tissue paper. Very simple to do and a fun package to give someone.
I love to wrap gifts. I think the wrapping is part of the gift. I think the most unusual gift I ever wrapped was when I covered an entire box with moss . I used rafia to tie it together and embellished it with twigs and shells. It really turned out cool. I wish I had a picture to show you but I did that about 10 yrs ago.
Do you love to wrap your gifts in a special way? What is the most spectacular gift wrap you ever have done?
For those of you who love beautifully wrapped gifts for presentation you must go and look at The Gift Wrapped Life blog. Sande is the author and the talented lady behind wonderful gift wrapping and gift ideas. She talks about life, design and gifts. She is so articulate and makes all things in her surroundings lovely. She is truly an elegant lady.
Tell me what you think you would like your signature wrap to look like. What color and what design would be on it?
Happy Wrapping!

In my youth (just yesterday!!) I spent hours wrapping gifts, three layers of velvet and organdie ribbons exquisite tags and lots of different ties...now, if it comes in the bag I bought it in, they are doing well!!!!! I really shouldn't admit to that should I? I do follow a gift wrapped life and I did try, just recently, her pleated tissue. Somehow mine didn't look so good, perhaps I should practice! xoxo
Oh Kathysue, I LOVE this post!! That black and white paper is WONDERFUL!!
xoxo Pattie
I love your signature gift wrap. My daughter's room is done in those colors so I may be a little partial.
I saw that episode of Oprah with Colin Cowie. I remember he even had ice cubes in different shapes for different types of glasses. I'm organized, but not that organized!
Your black & white stripe is so you and so smart. You can pair it with any color ribbon or print!Practical and pretty. I am trying to be a wrapper and not a bagger - this inspires me!
I would have loved a present wrapped in one of these, KathySue. My birthday was yesterday....Christine
I remember hearing him talk about that signature wrap & thought it was a great idea. I have a used a few different ones as I come across paper that I like. My favorite that I use is also a caspari paper that is a green & white trellis print. It's perfect for baby gifts or birthdays. I've also found several at Hobby Lobby, black & white houndstooth, chartreuse houndstooth, and of course & keep several gold tone on tone papers for Christmas & weddings. I've found that it's best to get papers that can go with any color of ribbon or tissue paper, depending on the occasion. It's just so much easier than trying to search for something cute every time you buy a gift.
Kathysue, that paper is definitely you! Nashville wraps, huh. I will have to check that out. That price is amazing when you think of how much a small roll is in the stores.
I used to order from Nashville Wraps when I had my gift store. They do have great prices. As for Colin...I don't think you'd be his type, but wouldn't it be fun to go to one of his parties! I love the guy.
Kathysue, you always pay such attention to detail and show your love even in gift wrapping. I on the other hand, just find some paper or a pretty bag and use a ton of tissue to make it look fluffy. I do try to write a personal note on the card. I should try harder. Hope your day is a super one. Hugs, Marty
I love it. Specially the silk paper flower. You need a step by step how to with pictures to teach us all how to do that.
lol. i love that. so classically YOU....and me. i love the pink toile. i really seriously love it so much. i need a present in THAT!!! im forwarding the picture to friends and family....heehee.
how is the patio? ready for the weekend relaxation?
hope you have a lovely friday KS. xoxoxoxo
Great post! My favorite way to wrap a gift for a baby shower is in a plush baby blanket and secured with old-fashioned diaper pins (they're sold in most drugstores). I then add a big fabric ribbon bow and knot a fun rattle to it.
Oh, and a little helpful hint: "stationery" is spelled with "e like envelope." My 7th grade English teacher taught me that and I've never forgotten it.
Kat, just change it. I remembered the rule as paper for "a" in the word paper. Now I know thank you I really appreciate the correction!!Kathysue
Pretty, wish I could wrap like that :) I tried painting the cabinets white today and they got lost in the white beadboard so I'll stick with what I have or maybe blue or gray, we will see :)
Cute idea...unfortunately...my signature wrap is a gift bag, or a store that wraps for me! I am a gift wrapping spaz!
Hi Kathysue,
I love your choice of the black and white striped paper. I think mine would be pink of course. I'll have to check out that sight.
hugs
Sissie
