THE GIRL'S BEDDING
Remember the walls are being painted! Next is ........
THE BOY'S BEDDING!
Also keep in mind that the furniture is going to be all white. With that being said, "What color would you paint the walls"? I am in the process of choosing the paint color and I promise I will walk you through that process also. I think it would be fun to hear what all my designing buddies have to say on this subject. Would you choose one of the colors in the quilt? Would you choose a color that is in one of the pillows or something totally different that is not in any of the elements in the room? We are now opening up the dialogue of..........
WHAT COLOR WOULD YOU CHOOSE?
"Enjoy the Process" Of: Picking out paint!

Love them both! Color is wide open- anything from a fresh green to a d light violet gray. Your options are endless!

Good morning Kathysue, what bright and fun bedding. Your choices are wide open aren't they? I'll be looking forward to see what everyone else has to say and your final choice.

My first thought woud be in the green family....
ReplyDeleteI love the bedding Kathysue. I would choose a light apple green for the walls.
ReplyDeleteThe bedding came together so beautifully, and all for a song! I'm anxious to walk thru the process of choosing a paint color with you because that to me is the hardest part. I know you have the gift of understanding color so I'm holding out to see what you come up with. I really love it so far. Your grandkids must be so excited!!!
ReplyDelete~xo always
Your are a design genius! I love your blogs and appreciate, beyond words, your talent for color, texture, quality and design.
ReplyDeleteAnon, I don't know who you are but Wow!! that is a real compliment. Thank you. Thank you also, for taking the time to comment. I love reading comments! Kathysue
ReplyDeleteBoth beds are fabulous Kathysue and as far as paint color~ you know I'm moving towards white everything right now personally. A few have responded with light green and I do agree that would like pretty with both combinations.
ReplyDeleteBM's "Ultra White" with a lime green wainscoting = 3' high all around. So not to overwhelm the room.
ReplyDeleteOr go an entirely different route with a soft, warm, light grey like BM "Hatteras Sand" to allow all the many colors to pop off bright and strong.
Add some toys, and it will be an over the top splurge of rainbows.
What do the kids want? Might find the perfect color with their suggestions. :-)
ReplyDelete..And, I am going to add a Tiffany-turquoise blue only at the shared wall at the head of the beds, to give some visual support to the overall space.
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
Love the boys bed! Without seeing the space and knowing how many windows, doors, etc...My vote would be to use either 2 colors or if you dare teal!
ReplyDeleteI'd go with the green in the quilt. I love how the bedding turned out! Perfect!
ReplyDeleteThe palest of faded greens? Whatever you do will be lovely and the kids will enjoy. Oh I have a confession to make! I think I have pinched some of your images hope that you don't mind tooooo much!
ReplyDeleteI vote to jump out of the box and paint the walls a orange color...
ReplyDeleteHi Kathysue! I am sooooo far behind! I love the fancy post and your bottles! It's fun seeing your brain at work! lol Love the fabrics! I'm voting for a shade of green! Happy Sunday!...hugs...Debbie
ReplyDeleteGreen is serene! YES go with GREEN. (Shhhhh, don't tell Ms. Vicky of Room Service that I said it. It is a joke between us as she is a lover of GREEN and I am of BLUE.)
ReplyDeleteLovely linens! -Brenda-
Mrs. Ben, I know about Vicky's distaste of blue unless it is mixed with green. Did you read her comment about the orange? I think Miss Vicky has a joke going on with several of us bloggers about color. She knows I hate orange. If you have a chance go to her blog for my response. Thanks for sharing your ongoing joke with Miss Vicky. I will have to remember that one, Lol, Kathysue
ReplyDeleteAhhh, that is why she said 'orange'. We 'gottA'
ReplyDeletewatch that woman. :) -Brenda-
Are you kidding Kathysue? Of course you can link to anything I have, I'm flattered and I take it as a big compliment, so thank you!! I can't wait to see your favorites, as that is really how I like to try new product. Friend's opinions on beauty product is the best gage of it's worth! :)
ReplyDeleteCrisp white (semi-gloss)judges panels 3/4ths the way up the walls would really be a nice back drop, with a soft apple green painted above the molding. Or a really soft apple green on the walls with a big white horizontal stripe. Love the bedding! I agree with you on the girls sheets. The pillows are too cute! Karen
ReplyDeleteKathysue, I know you will pick a great color. I would do a pale color since the fabrics are so bold. A pale soft yellow would be pretty even though there isn't much yellow in the bedding. Also the pale grey in my nautical guest room would look good with those colors. The paint is Revere Pewter by Benjamin Moore. Can't wait to see what you pick.
ReplyDeleteYour beds are looking so pretty, Kathy Sue. I think I would pick the shade of green from the beddings...Christine
ReplyDeleteI saw your link over at 3 men and a lady. Thanks for you response to me following, today. I love your blog! I'm also really loving those green pillows. Where did you get them?
